The Alamo
1517 - 1519 Central Ave NE Minneapolis

The Alamo is a nickname that stuck on the massive fortress-like building at 1519 Central Avenue in Northeast. The vast historic space lends itself to a great retail storefront or eclectic, creative office space with good visibility and off-street parking. The area is full of artists’ lofts and other creative businesses, so art spaces, creative companies and craftspeople would find the Alamo a perfect place to create.

The Alamo was built out of limestone in 1902 and served as a tractor manufacturing plant for the Imperial Machinery Company until the late 1920s. In later years, it became a rock crushing facility, an Alumacraft boat factory and a plastics molding factory. First & First plans a complete renovation and revitalization of the historic space soon.
